Following the version 42.10 patch for Fortnite last week, players might have experienced an error or two when trying to matchmake.
Today, Epic Games has released Fortnite update 5.20, and it aims to resolve that issue.

Fortnite Matchmaking Issues Sorted on September 9
Per Epic Games, the devs have said last week that “A fix for the Matchmaking Error #1 (1.1.2) reports some players are seeing is planned for early next week,” which is this week.
So far, that’s the only known fix included in this patch, but the known issues the devs are working on is available below, and don’t be surprised if some of these issues are sorted out in the patch download today.

Cosmetics
The Cosmic Armor Singularity Styles, including Helmet On/Off, may not appear consistently when previewing the Outfit in the Shop. They’re still correctly granted and available in the Locker after purchase.
Will be fixed in 42.20.
The Chrome Punk Outfit’s head may appear orange/gold instead of its chrome finish.
Will be fixed in 42.20.
Battle Royale & Zero Build
Ammo spawned from Loot Hack drops may not be picked up automatically when walking over it.
Reboot Vans may not reboot the player after the progress bar reaches 100%.
Temporary Workaround: Keep holding the Interact button past 100% for the reboot to succeed.
Fortnite OG
The OG Pass screen may display the Season name as Chapter X – Season X instead of Chapter 1 – Season X.
Will be fixed in 42.20.
Ambient audio around The Devourer’s skull is missing or is quieter than intended.
Will be fixed in 42.20.
Save the World
The Power Hour timer is not displayed on the Map screen while the event is active.
We’re investigating inconsistent weapon damage output, particularly during Mythic Storm King fights.
[Xbox One] Directional Jump Pads won’t activate when Phase Shifting onto them.
The Hero Commander Buckle+ Perk currently provides reduced effective damage as weapon level increases.
Fortnite Festival
[Pro Parts] The lane divider is erroneously present for Pro Parts
[Main Stage] Auto-emote setting may not always apply properly.
[Main Stage – Pro Lead/Pro Bass] The green fret on the guitar peripherals can stop responding during Local Multiplayer.
[Main Stage – Pro Drums] Smashing two cymbal gems at the same time can break the streak.
[Main Stage – Pro Drums] Scoring discrepancies when the player is using Lefty Flip.
LEGO Fortnite
We’re aware of an issue where small balloons can reappear after being destroyed upon logging into the world. While we work on a fix, a current workaround is to destroy the parts the balloon is attached to, rather than the balloon itself.
