RENNSPORT Hypercar Expansion Pack and Patch 1.2.18 Available

The RENNSPORT Hypercar Expansion Pack has arrived, adding four new prototype race cars to the lineup. The pack includes the Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR-LMH with its naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12, the hybrid-powered Toyota TR010, the Lamborghini SC63 with its twin-turbo V8 and the Genesis GMR-001, which brings another factory-backed endurance racing program into the mix.

Alongside the new cars, the entire Hypercar class has received a physics overhaul with changes to tire behavior, engine performance, aerodynamics, car setups and overall balancing. The goal is to make the cars feel more realistic on the track and improve competition across the class.

Patch 1.2.18 has also arrived, addressing several issues raised by players following the game’s launch. Visual quality on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S was a common complaint, so the developers have made adjustments to reduce shimmering on fences and grass, along with lighting improvements aimed at making nighttime racing easier to see. Additional work on headlights and shadows is still planned for future updates.

Multiplayer is getting some welcome improvements as well, especially for players who enjoy organized league racing. Custom Contests now support up to 24 drivers across PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, doubling the previous 12-car limit. Race sessions can also run for up to 60 minutes instead of 30, giving players more room for endurance racing and pit strategies. The developers have also improved server synchronization to help keep larger races running smoothly across platforms.

Wheel support has received some attention with fixes for Quick Setup issues affecting several racing wheels on consoles. Force feedback improvements are still being worked on, but this update should help address some of the hardware compatibility problems players have reported.

The in-session leaderboard has been updated to provide more useful information during races. Players can now switch between sector times, best laps and ideal lap times, along with checking which tire compounds other drivers are using. AI behavior has received further adjustments with the developers continuing to work on positioning, racing decisions and overall consistency based on player feedback. The full patch 1.2.18 notes are available on the official RENNSPORT website.
