Riot Games has confirmed a brand-new rifle, the Warden, is coming to Valorant in the 13.06 patch alongside a new game mode where you can create your own agent.
While some games are constantly adding new weapons to the mix, Riot Games has been a little more calculated with things when it comes to Valorant. Back in January, they introduced the Bandit - a brand-new pistol - and that was the first new weapon since the Outlaw back in 2024.
There have been plenty of calls from fans for a new gun in Valorant, esepcially when it comes to rifles. Well, Riot has answered those calls, unveiling the Warden as a new option to compete with the Vandal and Phantom.
The Warden will set you back 2,900 credits and is coming as a part of the 13.06 update. The most notable advantage it has over the other two rifles is that it has a scope attached. So, you can easily post up and still deliver the same kick as other rifles.
The Warden rifle coming to Valorant
According to Riot, the Warden will offer “more flexibility on buy rounds,” and it has “high damage output” right off the bat.
The goal is to give players another viable weapon option without needing to commit to being a sniper user.
Naturally, the scope will make the Warden a “stronger Aim Down Sights (ADS) option” than the rest of the pack too.

Valorant's Glitched game mode lets you build your own Agent - kind of
On top of that, Riot has also unveiled a new game mode - Glitched. In this mode, eight teams of two player compete in a tournament-style round robin until only one team comes out on top.
However, you won’t use the typical Valorant Agents. Instead, you will be able to draft your abilities from different Agents, allowing you to create unique builds for each game you play.
Yet, combining these builds will cause some glitches - hence the name - which might come back to bite you. So, you’ll just have to keep experimenting.

As noted, the changes will come into play with the 13.06 update, so you won’t have to wait much longer to test them both out.
