Blizzard has added four new endeavor visitor themes to World of Warcraft's player housing system in Patch 12.1, including an Amani Trolls endeavor forced on every Neighborhood for the first month, according to Blizzard Watch. The subscription-based MMO's housing feature also now converts completed Neighborhood favor bars - including endeavors dating back to Patch 12.0 - into permanent changes to a player's shared locale.
Six months into the endeavor visitor system, most players have already seen at least one visitor move into their Neighborhood. Patch 12.1 widens that pool considerably, and for older endeavors already on the books, finishing a favor bar now sticks: new NPCs, decor unlocks, or trade opportunities that weren't there before. A related Patch 12.1 housing feature covers another angle of this expanded decor push.
The Four New Endeavors
- Candle Culture: 34 activities and 16 decor unlocks tied to the Kobolds of the Ringing Deeps, with a portal to Gundargaz and rewards sold by Timicky. The completion reward isn't yet clear.
- Every Bakar Has Its Day: 15 activities and 23 decor unlocks centered on the Maruuk Centaur of Ohn'ahran Plains, portal to Maruuukai, rewards sold by Roshai Lightstep. Completion reward unknown.
- Knock-Off Amani: 27 activities and 15 decor unlocks via Griftah's traveling trade troupe, portal to Tokka's Landing on the Coiled Isle. Completion unlocks visits from Unquestionably Griftah, who sells items tooltipped as useful for advanced house editing.
- Vacation Season: 20 activities and 15 decor unlocks with the Tortollans, portal to Boralus or Dazar'alor depending on faction, rewards sold by Taifa. Completion adds three decor items to Throska's inventory at the neighborhood's underwater dive bar.
Older Endeavors Get New Payoffs
Several Patch 12.0 endeavors now carry fresh completion rewards. Artistic Aid triggers visits from an artist tied to a sheltering blood elf art commune, Friend of the Grummies unlocks Cousin Shortkaf and a cup-stack decor item, and Moderate Mechanization brings J-3T 3000 selling a consumable jetpack for decor placement. Reaching Beyond the Possible adds a dragon that alternates between sleeping in the hills and wandering in visage form, while Consortium Consternation's Warpweaver Razeen visitor is only suggested by 12.1.5 PTR datamining rather than confirmed. Smell Sensation's reward remains unclear, and more detail is likely to surface as recent hotfixes to WoW's housing systems continue rolling out.
