Techland has something special for Dying Light: The Beast players today, as it marks the game’s first anniversary.
The “Call of the Beast” event kicks off today via the version 1.7 patch, which console gamers will see as Dying Light: The Beast update 1.007.001.

Dying Light: The Beast’s Anniversary Sees Call of the Beast Ushered in via Patch 1.007.001/1.7
Call of the Beast
Celebrate the first anniversary of Dying Light: The Beast with our special “Call of the Beast: 1st Anniversary Edition” event! Running for three weeks from September 21st, this event invites the community to unite (or compete) by completing weekly global goals and earning exciting rewards. Enjoy a kick-off 2XP Weekend from September 18th to get the anniversary festivities started. Throughout the event, join the community in achieving shared goals, while participating in weekly votes that shape how you target your enemies. Your choices will influence unique gameplay modifiers for the weekend, affecting how battles unfold in Castor Woods. Jump in, contribute to the global goal, and cast your vote to shape the adventure ahead! For more details, visit the Outpost event page. Players can also enjoy new challenges like tougher enemies and rare Bober Infected spawns for an added thrill. Don’t miss your chance to redeem special Anniversary rewards via the Outpost page. Crane’s Anniversary Drops
Celebrate with “Crane’s Anniversary Drops” and unleash the Beast! Running parallel to the Call of the Beast Anniversary Event, this 21-day web-based reward calendar on the Outpost Web Hub starts on September 21st. Log in daily to unlock a variety of rewards, from in-game dockets and store points to festive weapon skins with blueprints and more. If you forget to claim a reward on the day it unlocks you can catch up at any time before October 19th at 2:00 PM CEST. After this deadline unclaimed rewards will be permanently unavailable. Visit daily for surprises and exclusive items, and make sure to claim your rewards before they’re gone!

Along with the event, Update 1.7 introduced the following fixes and improvements to the game:
Gameplay
- Fixed an issue where assets sometimes weren’t destroyed in Race Challenges, blocking pathing and slowing the player down
Technical
- Fixed various crashes and errors
- Fixed the FPS spikes sometimes happening during boss fights on PS5
- Fixed the issue with stuttering sometimes occurring in the Settings menu
- Fixed the screen tearing sometimes happening with Ray Tracing with Frame Generation on RTX 40XX
