Agent Mastery in VALORANT
The whole Agent progression is changing with the introduction of Agent Mastery in VALORANT Patch 13.06.
There will be two main ways of tracking your mastery of an Agent.
Act Levels will be a seasonal progression for each Agent that resets each Act. With a high enough Act Level on an Agent, you’ll temporarily unlock their Portrait Upgrade. This allows you to show off your recent dedication to that Agent and will be visible during Agent Select.
This system is similar to the Lord icons in Marvel Rivals, albeit VALORANT’s is temporary.
The second is Lifetime Levels, which is a persistent track of your progression into an Agent, granting access to each of their rewards tracks. The old Agent Gear cosmetics will be migrated here, meaning you’ll have to play the corresponding Agent to get their related rewards.
The new Agent Mastery in VALORANT also adds Agent IDs. Players will be able to equip certain modules, which include stances, backgrounds, and tracked stats to personalize their Agent ID and appearance around the game.
Already-earned Agent Gear rewards will be unaffected and will remain in your inventory. After the new Agent Mastery systems go live, Kingdom Credits will still be needed to redeem them.
Progress is tracked using a new currency: Mastery Points (MP). MP can be earned based on time spent in matches, and bonuses are awarded based on performance and match outcomes. Simply put, do good and win more to quickly raise your Act and Lifetime Levels.
The new Agent Mastery goes live on Sept. 22, 2026 with VALORANT Patch 13.06.
